How To Write A Resume For A Certified Nursing Assistant Job

Learning how to write a resume when applying for a job as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an important matter. Before you begin your job search, you need to draft a well thought out resume that will grab the attention of a recruiter or hiring manager. There's no particular resume format that you should follow, but it is essential that you highlight your key qualifications, experience and professional background in an effective manner.

Like any resume, a CNA resume should include your career objective, education, professional experience, job duties and responsibilities from previous positions, skills, achievements, contact information, and personal details. When discussing previous work experience, be sure to use bullet points so that your summary comes across in an organized well written manner. It's imperative that you proofread your resume before submitting it potential employers. Check for formatting issues, spelling errors, pronunciation, and poor grammar. Keep sentences short and simple. Avoid using jargon or slang. If you're having trouble with formatting or grammar, take your resume to a career counselor for a second opinion. Remember that your resume is the key to getting interviews. Always put your best foot forward.

Finally, search for sample drafts resumes online to get a general idea of how the document should be formatted. Below is an example of a certified nursing assistant resume.
